Co-investigator for PELCI, Emeritus Professor at CHPM and Visiting Professor at the Cicely Saunders Institute, King’s College London. Professor Normand held the inaugural Edward Kennedy Chair at CHPM for over a decade and prior to that was for thirteen years Professor of Health Economics at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. He has over 40 years’ experience in academic health economics, and was among the first economists to focus in detail on palliative and end-of-life care. He has published approximately 250 papers, which have been cited over 10,000 times, and is currently on the boards of St James’s Hospital and the Health Research Board.
